Jordan Peele Has Announced His New Movie, And Black Panther Actors May Star
Jodan Peele made a huge splash with Get Out and Black Panther is the highest grossing movie of the year. It only makes sense to bring them all together. Jordan Peele is reportedly moving forward on his next feature and both Marvel's Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong'o are in talks to star in the new movie, simply titled Us. Peele announced the news this week, and other details followed. Here's what we know.
Little is known about Us at this point, but The Hollywood Reporter states that the movie will focus on a pair of couples, one black, and one white. Lupita Nyong'o is said to be negotiating her deal to star now, making it sound like she's pretty close to being a done deal. Winston Duke is said to be at an earlier stage for his deal, as is Elisabeth Moss, who would play half of the other couple. There's no word on who the fourth person to fill out the leads might be.
It would be great to see Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke work togrther as a couple on screen. The pair have actualkly known each other for years, having attended Yale Drama School together. They even watched The Avengers together and dreamed of being part of something like it, before co-starring in Black Panther, a movie which was able to exceed The Avengers and become the highest grossing superhero movie ever.
It's not clear what sort of movie Us will be, though Jason Blum will help produce the movie, which would seem to indicate that Us is another horror feature from the man brought us Get Out. Jordan Peele will direct the movie based on a script that he wrote, just as he did with the previous feature.
Jordan Peele announced the movie on his Twitter feed with a simple poster image. While it doesn't give much away, it does tell us we have less than a year to wait for the movie, as it will hit in March of next year.
Get Out was a massive hit that not only won over the box office last year but was nominated for several Academy Awards as well, and earned Jordan Peele one for Best Original Screenplay. He's already become an in-demand director, being offered such projects as the high profile live-action Akira movie, but it seems that, at least for now, Peele is happy to make smaller movies based on his own ideas. If Us is even half as creative as Get Out then we'll likely be in for something special.

Additionally, Suicide Squad's early fan screening reactions were very positive, while Justice League also reportedly received positive reactions. In the case of Aquaman, a quiet production featuring great talent is enough of a reason to be excited, so these reactions are a nice reminder of that if nothing else. Now we just have to hope the
